In 2024, Australia’s facing a trade shortage and a housing crisis, which means our tradies are now basically superheroes—but without the capes, and unfortunately, with way more back pain.

Turns out, over 90% of tradies have experienced work-related injuries or pain in the past year and guess what? Approximately 90% of those injuries were caused by, you guessed it, their actual work. Who could’ve seen that coming?

A whopping 76% of tradies say their pain is seriously cramping their style (and quality of life). Meanwhile, 42% have described their pain as "severe," with some dealing with it for months or even years—because who needs a timeline for suffering, right?

To cope, 87% of them are medicating or self-medicating, with many turning to drugs or alcohol.

And here’s the kicker: 24% are worried they might have to retire early because their bodies are waving the white flag.
